I was thinking the same thing, I would think that being younger would be a disadvantage due to less time in the sport. But apparently being younger and smaller in gymnastics allows you to perform better. Whether or not it should be changed could come into question, though regardless, apply only to future Olympics. I doubt anything comes of it. The IOC already said that they were not further investigating the issue and that passports provided showed the girls ages. Really they're just trying to avoid upsetting the host country. They've "put on a face" since the beginning so as to only present their "best side" or "best example". They've been in trouble for cheating before and really, this goes further than just the olympic participants. They're hiding and faking quite a few things for this olympics.
