It isn't great, but I use it for school to take notes and browse the web, as well as watch movies and videos. I only bought it because I couldn't afford a Macbook Pro at the time, which is what I really wanted. I like the fact that I could run both Windows and OS X on a machine with ease, natively. If all you want is OS X, you can run it on a PC with some less than legal software, or you could what Dan said and install a Linux distribution and get the same look and feel.
