if u cant run 1.5 miles in under 10 minutes something is wrong, i run a mile in under 4 minutes

Something wrong being your not a professional athlete or dont train like one on a consistant basis maybe? Im not doubting you were never fast at some point in time but 4min?!?!

The average person who works out most likely cant run a sub 10 min mile. If your running a sub 4 min mile you should be in a professional sport.

Even at my best (last year) i could probably barely squeeze by a sub 9min mile. But i never tried.

Btw, This thread makes me feel fat.

umm... thats the women's heats and it's D3, anyone can run for a D3 school. I can honestly do the #1 time on there right now. The only time I ever ran a mile in actual competition it was like a 4:40 something. Post up the men's times and you'll see that getting under 5 minutes is not that uncommon.

1.5 miles in under 10 minutes is not that hard at all. I could pull 2 miles off in probably around 11. This is also saying you're in the physical condition to do this, i'm not trying to cut down on anyone.

as for d-ramey running a mile in under 4 minutes, there's no fucking way.

Hmm wonder what kinda background things would prevent you from being a nerk cop. I got traffic and a criminal mischief. Only good thing that would help me is uncle has been a licking county sherrif for over 15 years now. Do you have to have a Criminal Justice degree or anything>

Air Force standards are 1.5 mile in 11:57. I am not a fast runner but I can acheive this. The fastest 1.5 mile runners in basic training were running low 8 min times so by my math that doesn't make the average person running the mile in sub 5min times. Just my added peice of info, still off to slice my wrists because I am not up to D Ramey's easily acheivable running skills.

1.5mile under 10mins is flying but I knew 1 person in my previous academy class that ran it.

Mile under 4 mins may only be possibly if your a world record holder

I would only quit my job to join the police force if it was like movie Police Academy or Super Troopers... I'd like to partner up with a Mac/Tackleberry type character.

The running requirement doesn't seem all that bad, I bet its pretty easy if the average person has a few weeks to prepare. I'll save all my usual comments on cops for another thread. "Tuff cops on bikes, gay men in tights"...

D-Rame knocked some big waterhead out this weekend in one punch. Pretty impressive as they guy was about 3x his size, it wouldn't suprise me if he could make the sub 4 minute run...

I did columbus' test and passed with flying colors. Thats when I was at almost 2 packs of cigs a day. I literally almost passed out after the running test. They kept telling me to slow down I had plenty of time but I thought for sure I wasnt going fast enough so I kept it in high gear the entire way. It was amazing the amount of people who couldnt do the sit-ups. There was even a guy I shit you not weighed in at about 400lbs. The put a hiring freeze on just after I took my polygraph.
