FourString
I had an 89 IROC-Z 350TPI car. I do not regret selling it. Biggest POS I ever owned. I should have re-wired the entire thing. The electrical system was poorly designed IMO.
XChris1632X
Chris has had the car for 7 years ... however... the car has about 7 days of drive time on it. But let me tell you this those 7 days of drive time were the greatest 7 days in the history or 3rd gens. -Erik Hey it was only 7 days the first session, you forgot I drove it awhile back in '06 before I lost the trans. Remember it had the trailer park wheels on the back. oh yeah EDIT: because I forgot the :asshole:

Thomas Aquinas
Kevin, Nice talking to you too! I got to see your car run someday, I'm impressed. Here are some pics of the work-in-progress ( w.i.p , Its a special edition IROC that only came out for one year.. ). http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l334/Irocstyle/Irocdown1.jpg http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l334/Irocstyle/Irocrear.jpg http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l334/Irocstyle/RotorandSwaybar.jpg
TA In Progress
I have an 88 Trans Am. I'll go take some pics here in a bit. It's been restored, it was a complete piece of shit when I got it (looked like it had been in a demo derby and leaked about a quart of oil a day). I was given 2 other TA's to part out when somebody gave me this car, otherwise I would have sent it to the boneyard. It's only saving grace was that it was rust free and the interior was almost perfect. I have replaced every panel on the car except for the windshield frame and passenger rear 1/4 due to being wrecked about 10 times by the previous owner. Everything was painted before the car was reassembled, and all new weatherstripping was installed as well. It has every suspension piece Spohn makes, including SFC's. I don't have a lot of money in it (the car was free as well as the 2 parts cars) but it's a fun cruiser that handles really well.
Dave1647545494
that car learned me not to line up body panels without the full weight of the car on the suspension
Jeffrey
No 3rd-gen for me but I have owned an '83 Berlinetta, '88 IROC (miss this car to this day), '88 IROC Vert, '85 IROC. I would love to find a '88 or '89 5-speed car to use as a LS1/T-56 project I have been wanting to do for a while now. I want another one! Thomas Aquinas
NHRATA- How about some specs on those engine(s)? The dual quad setup looks sick! And any other information you would like to share about the car...
NHRATA
NHRATA- How about some specs on those engine(s)? The dual quad setup looks sick! And any other information you would like to share about the car... The first engine was a 406ci std port 23 deg phase 6 bowtie headed sbc. It was 14.9 to 1 comp with a Holley pro dominator tunnel ram with two PRC dominator carbs. It made 668 hp and ran 10.29 @131.97 with a 1.46 60 ft . The second engine is the new one. It's a 434ci sbc with a set of Allpro AP390SP heads. It made 758 hp with a single Biggs stage 9 4500 carb . I'm having a sheet metal tunnel ram made in a few weeks "I hope" and over the winter a set of PRC 950 hp carbs. I'm hoping to make 800 hp with the new carbs and intake set up and a cam change.
