Worlds fastest Supra now in Cleveland

So we finally did it. First pass off the trailer last night: 7.88 @ 185 with a 1.38 60. Backed it up with a 7.81 @ 187.4 with a 1.31 60. The previous MPH record was held by Boost Logic (186.6) using a glide, a bigger 55-91 and a taller tire. After contemplating a third 'give it hell pass' we just decided to drive it straight back onto the trailer and call it a night. We're .1 away from the ET record held by Titan. We didn't quite realize this last night, but probably a good thing we didn't. :)

Here's the video (you can hear me lift right after the 60 to kill some tire shake, so we left some ET on the table):

And it only took a $45 part to go from breaking something rear end related about every time we pulled it off the trailer to running 7's. Well that and a few different combos of axles, rear ends, and diffs. :( Don was getting sick of me complaining about not being able to see the Motec digital dash so he installed a shift light to stop the bleeding. After hooking it up, we ran two consistent passes for the first time. We didn't change a thing all summer. Set the shocks at 50%, boost at 33-35 psi, and the Maximizer at 100%. Still running a 28*10.5 slick on the OEM IRS.

It took us about a dozen hits to get into the 7's which is pretty cool given that it was completely built from the ground up. Except for a loose nitrous fitting early in the year, not a single gremlin popped up.

Accelerated Performance deserves some credit for building the first customer Supra in the 7's....especially since it's driven by a fat, old guy....http://www.clevelandracing.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.gif

Looks like it is still running a little rich? possibly able to get low 7's

That's how you need to run these motors with nitrous, but yea we may be able to lean it out a bit. We aren't planning on touching the tune until the consistency comes....which we're hoping we've turned the corner on.
