TTQ B4U
Is it because or how wide they are or what? Your tread is set up to push their way through mud. There's very little if any way for them to grip the slick surface of snow or ice/slush.
TurboRust
also the hardness of the tread compound and large chunks of tread with no siping. heres a pic of how siping helps a tire http://www.discounttire.com/images/smoothRide.gif

Pedro1647545510
Almost lost it on an icy bridge in the subaru tonight. Be careful out there. There were a ton of people that "bit it" tonight. I went from Polaris to Hilliard via the freeway and saw numerous wrecks on 270 westbound, a wreck on Gemini, a semi flipped over on the ramp from 315N to 270E, etc.... I guess the first little bit of snow takes people by surprise.
unfunnyryan
I guess the first little bit of snow takes people by surprise. This is why I went out today when it was snowing to get used to how my new tires behave in the snow
