Probably some sort of Orb Weaver

Not commonly referred to as that, though they are orb weavers. Round the states, they're just "garden spiders" or "corn spiders". I once walked through a web and had one on my face for a second. Life changing, that was.

You would of found me 3 miles away from the web crying in the fetal position had that happened to me.

I remember in certain areas during the summer those things would get thick in the weeds. One every few feet. By the end of the summer, they're huge as shit. Slightly different species, however. You could put a cup in front of them, tap them into the cup from the other side and throw them in another web for the battle royale. Or it was just fun to walk though the weeds due to all the grasshoppers flitting about. One was almost always guaranteed to get caught. I've seen a small anole get caught by one before. Well, it was already caught when I saw it.

This is the species down south. This isn't a full grown spider, though.

All loves have to die - of that there's no help;

My favourite way to end em'

Is the orb-weaver spider's, whose pedipalp

Enters the female pudendum,

Then dies on the spot, his corpse there still stuck,

Left for his rivals to curse it.

He would rather die than not get to fuck:

Personally, I reckon it's worth it

Had one almost exactly like that in my flower garden a year ago. I thought at first it was an almost dead flower because it was so big, then I got a closer look and screamed loud enough to make the entire neighborhood wonder what happened. :o

Pussy! I say feed it and watch it grow. Maybe it'll grow large enough to take out birds like its Australian cousin.

I hate killing spiders for the wife. I want the big spiders to hang around and eat all my other annoying bugs.
