Hwilli1647545487
Everytime in the past i have done this there is a law of diminishing returns on your price point. For example, video cards might have gone in increments of 80, 100, 120, 150, and then jumped to 300. I always went for the $150 dollar one. The nicest, while not paying for "the latest and greatest" that just came out. Again I havent even purchased and computer equipment since my laptop, and that was 4 years ago. Put together some ideas for me
igotaprestent4u1647545491
I agree with the below hardware, however i would add an aftermarket heatsink for the processor. Mr. Jones
For a budget gamer, skip on the quad. E8500 will also easily overclock, even on a stock cooler. I'd also opt for a 4870, one of the best bang for your buck cards right now.
ForeverMaker
check your website, your using the Canadian newegg and prices are more =P after market cooling on the setup i stated is optional but is a must if you plan on overclocking. yes i know that was just a guide to get started. i wouldn't recommend buying something via links posted on a forum anyway. igotaprestent4u1647545491
more like core i7 MORE EXPENSIVE THAN * but it is the baddest chip on the block true true, i'll def have it in my next system when prices drop. Thing is my current rig more than handles what i throw at it so i have no need to upgrade.

Orion
i agree with mudcrutch, and in essence i have almost the same computer. i have the gtx260 ftw edition (factory overclock), instead of the regular, and my 3dmark scores are in the 17k range. seriosuly though, if it wasnt for jonesey and gill2k, my computer would be an expensive paperweight. those guys help has been invaluable, and much appreciated. oh yeah, and only call pyrinex if you want to be told a bunch of stuff, and then completely ignored. sorry thorne, that was my experience.
