JaSSon
I'm wanting to upgrade to an aftermarket ROM on my XV6800. I was specifically looking at the Scott Crosler rom. Seems nice and has all sorts of goodies built in. Should be faster than the VZW MR1 (WM6.1) ROM. Has anyone ever done this before? I don't want to brick my phone... excell
I did it on my 6700. Pretty straightforward. Follow the directions and I wouldn't worry.
JaSSon
have you found a GOOD walk through? I found this but it's somewhat convoluted.
excell
It's been a few years. I used a writeup on ppcgeeks.com
JaSSon
I've been playing with PPCgeeks.com too. ...boot loader installed... I fixed my link above.
JaSSon
WTF Bootloader! I just installed 2.4 and it confirmed..but now it's displaying 2.07 again... Recovery successful, not bricked... yet.
JaSSon
Aight! Done! Wow... TouchFlo2D is pretty. This rom is way different.
JaSSon
MF'in hax0red ROMs. I had to find and install a 3rd party MMS CAB to get pix messaging working. My GPS doesn't work anymore now tho.
sol740
Anything with 3.35 or better should have GPS, though you may have to re-enable it depending on what ROM you used.
Mr. Jones
You'll ditch touchflow2d within a week or two. I sampled of bunch of them and stick with DCD's roms. Currently running his latest beta and I'm very happy. 26mb+ free on boot, better battery life and all the things I need included for the most part. cinergi
Who can do mine for me? My #$%^ing text messaging is way too slow and it's always locking up lately. If someone has a good walk through for the Sprint Mogul, I'd love you!

I was upgraded to the MR1 then went to R4R so my GPS isn't working. I need to roll back to an older rom and PRI....just gotta find them tho. JaSSon
DCD 3.3.4 installed! I only have like 22.35MB free. I don't have anything running either, so I don't know what's up with that. Pisses me of that DCD removed the games...
