Avenger1647545502
Amen to that, I Believe I Can Fly is epic. I was personally thinking of their covers of "The Rainbow Connection", or "Phantom of the Opera" from 'Are a Drag', or "Danny's Song" from 'Have a Ball'. Their cover of "Country Roads" was great too. BTW, I can't believe that nobody on a Columbus, Ohio based forum has pointed out that "Hang On Sloopy" is a cover.....

KillJoy
Well, maybe not of all time but... Columbus' own Attack! Attack covers Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl". It's pretty techno but there is a cool breakdown at about 2:08 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAv7fi9zjgA Dude.... that's a pretty bad assed version of that song! Thanks for the link! KillJoy
ZappBrannigan
Nice list. If your a pumpkins fan --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FX2VSaPOQ-o Tambourine man was a pretty good bob dylan cover by the byrds. Five man electrical band - Signs covered by Tesla Red Hot Chili Peppers covered Rollercoaster of Love by Ohio something.. I cant remember the name of the original band. Sublime did an awesome cover of the grateful deads scarlet begonias. So did Jimmy Buffet. I love all three, specially in the summer time!.. speaking of which Sublime covered that song Its summertime and the Livin's easy! Dunno the title though No woman no cry from marley by murder one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIXnFViH6co Heres a james bond song by moby that i used to jog too.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P79cVnDmzB0 Dunno if its so much a cover or remix but whatever. fatboy slim did a cover of steve miller bands the joker.. and its terrible! then theres this slightly homosexual nonsense Theres a ton of ska and punk band covering 80s songs, heres a few good ones imo Goldfinger "99 red balloons" Bouncing souls "dont you forget about me" Reel Big Fish "brown eyed girl" Tim mahoney did sexual healing with a country twist.. kinda neat but less sexayy imo and I dont think he recorded it per say so I prob shouldn't mention it but OH WELL. The Dan Band lol --> I've got a ton more on my desktop that i cant recall right now. I know the title of this thread is Greatest Covers, but I needed a break from studying so I decided to just start listing some. K back to finishing this fucking economics chapter!
