Sam1647545489
If you got a awesome hook up to turn your manual to a straight cut gear trans, would you do it instead of goin to an auto.

KillJoy
If it is for the Straight Line Track, "I" would go Automatic. They can be built to handle crazy power, and are more consistant than a Manual. KillJoy
Mattsn2o281
In a heartbeat. And with enough practice and the right setup you can be very consistant with a manual. People still manage to miss shifts points and such with an auto so it really all comes down to the driver.
Farley
lol DO IT EVEN IF ITS A DD!!!! nothing more bad ass then straight cuts.
zeitgeist57
My understanding is that the biggest downfall is the noise. However, even if it's for a DD the engine you have is probably going to be loud as shit if the tranny backing it up is packing straight-cut gears. ICEMAN1647545504
Depends... I would say yes... They are more fun to drive...
rl
You would go faster with an automatic by a large margin.
Guest Removed
ask yourself this. what do you want? manual trans = more driveline breakage auto's can take the abuse, but are more limited in gearing choose's. plus with a auto, you stay in boost
kenny
I think it would be cooler with a manual, but as already said, it will go much faster with an auto. You will also be less prone to breaking driveline components since the initial hit won't be as hard.
Linc5.0
do it...you will be driving it on the streets too...so a manual will be way more fun.

Zach1647545520
Straight cut gears ftw! Cool sound effects plus as stated a few times in this thread that it would be way more fun to drive around on the street. Auto is boring for a street car.
