I'm not sure if this is true for all firebirds, but when you take the door panel off the mounting surface for the motor/regulator and everything is fiberglass and it is not uncommon for the fiberglass to come apart and cause problems with the windows. It is not fun to fix at all, door pins aren't a big deal, and head liners are a pain in the butt to fix as well, at least to me since I don't do upholstery work. There are other fish in the sea. Miller Posted February 4, 2009 Report Share Posted February 4, 2009 I bought a 1996 v6 firebird in 2001. I talked the dealership down to 5k and all it had was a bad ignition coil.
