Guest Removed
low 12's n/a...just a low compression motor, so either turbo or tons of spray will make it go tens or so....
Tinman
low 12's n/a...just a low compression motor, so either turbo or tons of spray will make it go tens or so.... You're going to put a half ton hunk of iron in the front of your car to go 12s?
tomcowle
What head casting is that? My old weapon of choice for BBF heads was the 1993 castings.
Guest Removed
You're going to put a half ton hunk of iron in the front of your car to go 12s? not mine now is it? No and i tryed to talk him out of it. so keep your retarded fucking comments out of this thread. What head casting is that? My old weapon of choice for BBF heads was the 1993 castings. these are D3VE's on this one. The heads on mine are DOOE-R so your weapon of choice is the shitest head casting out of all of them? So explain to me why they are so bad again? I was going 10.20's NA with a pump gas 466" with them in a full weight mustang in the mid 1990's, they must have been junk!? I guess when Keith Craft recommended a set to me he didn't know what he was doing. lol

I guess when Keith Craft recommended a set to me he didn't know what he was doing. lol cause you have no idea what your talking about. the later efi heads have the smallest of the intake ports out there. infact there not even a carb intake for them. http://www.reincarnation-automotive.com/casting-numbers-descriptions-1-index.html so why dont you fill me in more on this 10.20 combo
tomcowle
Yeah, look how crappy your exhaust ports are compared to the 1993 casting and get back with me. Intake port doesn't do crap without a good exhaust port and the earlier castings are lame in the exhaust ports. No intake? it must have been magic Keith Craft used to make it work??????? What does he know...victor 460 What do you want to know about the 466"? It then turned into a 514" then the fuelly heads got to small for it and it finally got a set of 'Thunders with chevy exhaust ports and I sold it. Guest Removed
Pic's of something I sold over 10 years ago?? 11.8:1 static 1050 dominator built by Dale Cubic Big fat gnarly roller spec'd by Craft (I can get exact numbers when I go back to the garage) T&D shaft rockers 2 1/8" to 2 1/4' kooks headers 4" collectors turbo 400 trans with 9" coan 28x10.5 w slicks 9" rear with 4.29's I'll see if I can find a floppy drive and maybe a picture of it. Pm me for more details, we're messing up this thread. well sorry to disappoint everyone... half that engine build blew this budget to shit. and thats what im doing. streetable, and on a budget.your headers cost more then whats in this bottom end. your bottom half cost more then this complete swap is. so rag on it all you fucking want. and i still see no point in running f3 heads. when the max they will support is around 600 hp or so. and low 10's is about as fast as they will go.10.20 is actually not very fast by todays standards, Ive seen C8/C9's going high 8's and Collins D3' motor was in the mid 9's at a required Porker Weight. plus , with a spare block sitting here, and some bigger valves, this combo could a be a 557ci with around 700 or so HP, but why even run stock heads, when there are so many new heads out for the BBF but as far as the intake sounds like a farce, intake will phisically bolt on, but bottom 1/2" of port would be open to lifter chamber, lots of welding in the port could make it work, but how well is a victor going to work if 1/2 the port is closed off? exhaust ports are pretty good in ported form but we are pretty much stuck with the stock efi manifold or a custom sheetmetal intake for the in side, anything CAN be done , but cost and effort would be too much for what this build sounds like, especially when better heads were available even then. for the money you had in it, you could have been way faster with the money spent better in that build. Ok here are the flow numbers I got from themadporter on the F3 heads . here are your flow numbers .100" thru .800" 79 / 168 / 230 / 270 / 290 / 310 / 315 / 320 intake 75 / 120 / 140 / 163 / 181 / 200 / 213 / 218 exhaust. flow numbers for mine @28 water without test pipe 81 / 156 / 227 / 278 / 311 / 343 / 353 / 375 intake 60 / 112 / 151 / 175 / 192 / 221 / 222 /222 exhaust so which was it was it you said..oh thats right craft told you to build f3 heads just cause the port is bigger. you wanna chit chat about BBF head flow or making something fast out of one you can pm me. I'm done swinging e penors with you and tinbrain over this budget build. Edited March 11, 2009 by Removed
