the vette is due for rings so since i'm in there its also getting a cam, bearings, heads and an underdrive pulley. more to come later.

2001 LS6 ring issue, they fixed it on the 02' LS6's. it just burnt some oil and had a little smoke after bouncing off the 7000 rpm rev limiter. since i am really pickey about my cars i wanted it fixed. plus as hard as i am on it with 80,000 miles 72,000 i have no history of i thought it was better safe then sorry or i would be buying a new engine like scott.

not going to say the cam specs yet. want to wait for the dyno chart and then post them at the same time so everyone scraches there head trying to figure out how i did that with the cam i have. lets just say its close to stock 02' Z06.

just a re-ring, there is nothing wrong with the pistons in it as long as i stay under 175 shot right scott? lol. they are Mahle pistons from the factory.

 

chris, it moves me to Street Mod something or another. they changed the class name from SM2 to just SM i think. either way there is never anyone in the class i'm in now or SM2 so the only down side is a worse PAX index.

its SSM now for my car. the guy in the gold C4 corvette called me and asked me if i wanted to run with them in E Mod this year since there are more people so i'll more than likely end up doing that.
