hpfiend
Late 80s early 90s MR2 (supercharged (if I can find one) or NA version) OR miata of early to mid 90s Thanks!

2highpsi
I would venture to guess that the supercharged MR2 would have a lower compression motor allowing for more boost. After all, it IS boosted. 8.8:1 vs 9.5:1 for a Miata
KillJoy
Stock, who cares.... Built it KillJoy
ImUrOBGYN
Generally, any motor boosted from the factory(mr-2) is a safer bet over a n/a motor, ie; the miata. Plus, I've always really wanted one of the MKI supercharged mr-2's. What great fun. Also, I fit in the mr-2 better.
FourString
Actually, Miatas respond very well to boost. I would say that the MR2 would respond better, but the Miata will not hate it. Check out miataturbo.net for a plethora of info.
Mensan
Most Miata guys want to run 6-8 lbs. of boost at the most. Some are making significant power, most are not. Edit: I used the word "most" a whole lot...Not sure why...
hpfiend
Thanks for the links... I am a member of mr2oc already and the v6 swap looks nice.... I want to run mid 12s in either so I am going to need a lot of boost and a lot of weight reduction. I figure I will need 20-25 psi in either. Rally Pat
Its hard to extract useful power out of the 4AGZE. A 4AGE 20v swap is capable of making as much power as a lightly modded 4AGZE. Could always take a 4AGZE and make it a 4AGTE or 4AGZTE if you wanted to... hpfiend
where would I get the 20v non Z engine?
ImUrOBGYN
I met a young guy last year at QSL who had a MKI MR-2 with a v-6 Camry swap and supercharged. Nice little setup and probably not really much of a weight difference since I believe the Camry motor is all aluminum. Don't quote me on that, though. Wait, I mean: 2JZ that bitch! Or LS1 that bitch! Fuck it. Put the 2j in the front and the ls1 in the back. I don't care how you make it fit. That's your job.
