AWW$HEEET
Is XP considered by Microsoft to be "legacy" or "obsolete" yet? Im just asking because if I re-image a computer, will I be able to get a good product key from the site, or call one in to them?
jeffro
originally microsoft set a date to stop offering support for windows xp. however, they decided to extend the date. to the best of my knowledge(being a microsoft IT Academy graduate,) you can still buy xp. If your a student at ohio state you can get this stuff for free =).
excell
XP licenses can be purchased through OEM's and corporate volume programs through June. Most online software vendors will sell OEM license keys. You can also find new retail copies online and will be able to find them for the foreseeable future. Heck, if you look hard enough one can still find new retail copies of Win95 and NT.
excell
P.S. If you own a legal key now, but lost it, they should always be able to supply a new key.
