LS-ONEd : Detailed

Had the pleasure of working on Erik's RX-7 the other day. Despite this car having a couple of minor paint issues and clear bra that's degraded like nothing I've ever seen before, it came out beautifully. Hopefully better than it's ever looked since he's owned it.

I've been without a camera for along time now so bear with my crappy photography skills:

Paint was swirled up and had some defects that needed removed:

After polishing. You can see most everything came out. There's some water etching damage on the top surfaces that could not be corrected but I was very happy with the turn-around.

And some finished shots. It was late when I got done so excuse the poor lighting. Even the wheels cleaned up better than I had expected for no more time than I had left to address them. I told Erik he needs to spend about 3-4 hours with them, a 6-pack and a tub of metal polish and they will look perfect.

that came out really well.

Erik....KEEP THE WING OFF!

Wing needs to go back on. There's some marks on the deck where it sat and rubbed the paint pretty well from vibrations not to mention the holes left behind. I'm sure we'll see the same when we pull your wing to clean your car too.

yeah, I knew the holes would be bad, but hadn't thought about rubbing damage. I've certainly considered respraying the car just to get rid of the wing.
