DETROIT – General Motors Corp. lost $6 billion in the first quarter and its revenue was cut nearly in half as car buyers feared the wounded auto giant would enter bankruptcy and no longer honor its warranties.

The Detroit-based company also said it spent $10.2 billion more cash than it took in from January through March, mainly because revenue dropped by a staggering $20 billion, or 47 percent.

You shouldn't be allowed to talk about it until you learn how to spell it right. I am not a Ford fan but you still won't see me spelling it Musteng.

They are just happy they "only" lost 1.4 billion.

Everytime you buy an import an American loses their job (I wonder how much truth is in that statement???)

It makes Uncle Sam cry red, white and blue tears. But as far as "import" is concerned, it's kind of a loose term being used these days. Toyota, honda, and Hyundai I believe have plants based here. I can't say I'm 100% loyal to any brand personally, but after owning a GM, I will deffinately own another one. Personally after owning a honda aswell, I'll never buy one again.

i dont think a 83 honda that is on its last leg would count! :p

hyundia has a plant here and the new kia plant is going up across the street!

they will be a big factor to play against.

Subaru has a plant in Indiana. They make Legacy Outbacks, and ALL of the Tribecas there. (They also assemble Camrys for Toyota). It's kinda funny because all of the companies are outsourcing to China, but the Tribecas sold in China are built here in the US.

I wonder if they complain about their cars being built in the US like we complain about ours being built outside the country...
