Im also reminded of the story with the old man that won the lottery and then lost everything and every one of his family members from the richness too. Said he would give it all back if he could..

 

Its a toss up for sure.. I still say happyness.

I'll bite.....

 

 

I'd rather be rich and sad. No problems with that what-so-ever.No qualms, not a shot.

 

Money can buy happiness, i am a firm believer in that, no joke.

 

Money can only buy short term on the surface happiness...

Elaborate on the rich and sad? like could we spend it to be happy or could we just have it and not do shit with it?

 

i just wanted to use this question because my friend says he'd "rather be sad in a bentley than happy on a bicycle"

 

so you can spend the money but you wont ever be truly happy

I can see that. But its really hard if you really think about it but ima go ahead and say happy and poor!

Happiness isn't derived from external input. Just like other emotions. Many people don't understand this. You and you alone are responsible for how you feel, and how you act.

 

Of course personal responsibility isn't a very popular theme in today's society.
