Guest Removed
front pinion bearing is seized on the gear...heat the inside of the bearing collar up where it goes around the pinion gear, got it as hot as you can, then smack the shit out of it. the bigger the hammer the better! Guest Removed
LOL Talk to Gearhead and Hal!! Get a 5# sledge and start swinging. #10 i have here, normally takes them right out, even without heat. that one you guys had was real seized up bad. that happens from hard launch's, more so in stick shift cars. rl
Air hammer or a 5# sledge. The sledge will tear the pinion up if you arent carefull.
Dave1647545494
use a 25lb wooden hammer it looks like a circus mallet and will not damage steel
Guest Hal
Don't ask me, I know that. Use a sledge, it should come out after a good bit of hammering.
