Few questions about my truck

Recommended Posts

Ok, my dad has a 2001 silverado ls,4x4, 2500hd,single cab with the long bed.

I'm trying to figure out how much I can safely put in the bed for a 3ish hour drive on hwy.

I'm looking online and see numbers like 3700lbs max payload, but is that stuff in the bed or max you can tow?

I need to move about 5400lbs and am wondering if I will have to make two trips, or if its safe to do it in one trip.

Also, where should I place the weight to make it handle/ride the best and be the safest?

Thanks

too much like work for me you need a couple of 18yr old punks for that kind of work

for sure. i'm gonna check around to see if anyone wants to unload them/help me set them for like $10 an hour, or some set price. With a lot of people out of work I'm sure I could find someone who wants some extra cash. Luckily there's only about 75 pavers, but they are nearly 100lbs a piece. I moved 60 of them this weekend and I'm tired.

But where can I get a trailer to haul 7000lbs? The biggest one uhaul rents will only hold 4000lbs. What teh gay?
