While it may be the current going rate I am certain you can build something more powerfukl for less. Prrobably not as streetable though.

 

i dont think so..granted you can piece somehting together..but wont be as cheap! hell they want 3500-4500 and up for built bottom ends.

 

and the heads are not cheap either...hell the blower setups dont go cheap used...

 

i'd like to have the motor to swap into my truck!

Terminator long block $3710.82 plus $1200 for a complete T56 from a guy going auto. All you would need is a junk core motor.

 

$5910.82 for a new motor and used trans. You've then got more than enough to source the other parts used to stay under that asking price without 65k miles.

cores arent free unless someone has no idea what they have..... add the cost of buying a junk core into that and youre way over that

O rly? I bet you could pick up a nice cheap core. Find one that is destroyed but complete and you're fine. Ford doesn't care if there are 8 rods sticking through the block, core is guaranteed.

 

All those prices are from things I've seen sold. You can find stuff cheaper if you try too.

$50 exhaust manifolds

$60 MAF

$40 lower

$1500 for remaining accessories and harness

$500 for destroyed core

 

$8060.82

got a 03 cobra motor from ford and they said they didnt care if we gave them a sohc shortblock and dohc heads. we had a junk sohc and a set of hurt heads. they didnt even look at the stuff just loaded it up.

Normally I would be all for that but, I wouldn't want to screw Tousley Ford since they do so much for the Cobra community.

 

The problem is that they may charge the core back to the dealer eventually.
