mrblunt
A family member is having issues with her PC. So I purchased an SATA to USB adapter and have her HD connected to my main PC. My thoughts are to backup as much data as possible to an external drive, format the machine, reload the OS, and reload the data. When I try to go into the documents folder of her C drive for example it has the windows user restrictions on those folders and I can't get into them. Is there a way to add myself as an administrator of those folders or some other way to easily back these things up?? Thx in advance.
Slimpsy1647545505
You need to transfer ownership of the drive to you. Read here :: http://www.le.ac.uk/cc/dsss/docs/acls2.shtml That will work for you.
