DaddyBuiltRacing
That makes 3 of us Mike. BTW I forgot to tell you me and the ex got back together lol 7/27/09: The old saying "its not what you know, rather who you know" definitley applied today. The parts I got yesterday were taken to the local Honda dealership to be steam cleaned and dyed by a friend who is a detailer there. They turned out very good http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/100_1677.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/100_1679.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/100_1678.jpg The side skirts were also cleaned using Black Magic spray and Armourall Wipes http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/100_1680.jpg Edited August 3, 2009 by DaddyBuiltRacing

DaddyBuiltRacing
9/3/09: Well I finally caught a break in the weather on one of my days off, where I could actually work on my car. Didn't do a ton but am pretty happy with what I did get done. The rear interior of the CRX was stripped to be cleaned. Any piece that has carpeting on it will be going to my friend who did the other pieces to be steam cleaned and dyed if need be. The rest of the plastic pieces received a good ol fashion cleaning courtesy of Armourall orange wipes. They were cleaned front, back, every little knoock and cranny was touched. Got all the interior pulled out of the rear: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/rearcrx3.jpg Rear speaker covers could use a good dying: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/rearcrx5.jpg The dirtiest piece of the interior but not for long: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/rearcrx6.jpg The rear stripped of all plastic pieces and carpet. Look what was discovered under it all. Luckily there is no rust at all!! Also notice the stuffing on the sides, it had black mold growing in it: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/rearcrx.jpg All the stuffing removed from interior: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/rearcrx4.jpg Ah the plastic sure did clean up nice, my mission is to have one of the cleanest CRX's out there. I will post more pics of this tomorrow when better lighting is available: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/rearcrx2.jpg Oh and just to tease my fellow CRX owners, look at those unbroken heater controls!!: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/heatercontrol.jpg
DaddyBuiltRacing
8/3/09: Today more interior pieces were dropped off to be vacumed, steam cleaned and dyed. They turned out just as good as the others. I only have pics of the rear speaker covers and storage compartments at the moment, the big cargo box is getting another coat of dye in the morning cause it was pretty nasty. Rear Speaker Covers: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/rear2.jpg Rear Storage Compartments: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/rear.jpg

A buddy of mine had a blown up z6 laying in the garage with rod knock. Since she is wanting to build a motor this is the perfect canidate to be brought back to life. Best part was the $75 dollar price tag!!! Also got the rest of the rear interior finished up being cleaned and dyed. I will get pics up tomorrow when better lighting its available. For now i'll leave you with a crappy one haha http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/z6.jpg Edited August 5, 2009 by DaddyBuiltRacing

DaddyBuiltRacing
8/19/09: She is on a mission to do something to her car every day. It doesn't matter if its something as small as taking off the stock under hood carpeting area and redying it. Today she did just that and also helped tear apart the parts car crx we purchased. From that parts car she got the following items for my project: Dealer Optional Child Seat Lap Belt Steering Wheel Side Moldings for Doors Lower Fender Moldings Headliner (its in better shape then hers) Engine Harness Shift Linkage (parts car had D series, her car came with a b series one) Mint 90-91 Seats Anyways heres some pics from today (actually just 2 lol) http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/underhood.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/headliner.jpg
DaddyBuiltRacing
9/26/09: Today Josh traded away his DA Integra to a buddy of his for a 90 Hatch with JDM B20 swap. I thought it was a good deal. Little did I know how good of a deal it would be for me... 12:15am and he is waking me up, a little pissed off at this I reluctantly head downstairs to see what his "suprise" for me is. Spread out on the floor in front of me is a complete JDM B20B swap. I am talking mounts, linkage, axles, transmission, motor everything. There is even a brand new clutch and header with highflow cat. Now lets get some pics and details: JDM B20b with 42k miles on it 91 LS transmission with 93k miles on it (came out of Josh's old CRX) JDM CRX SIR Shift Linkage (came out of Josh's old CRX) Brand New Autozone Axles Enjo Motor Mounts...painted Pink (came out of Josh's old CRX) XTD Stage 3 Clutch (will be replaced before swap) Exedey 8lb Lightweight Flywheel Ebay Header and Highflow cat (will only be used til boost lol) Only thing I need for the swap is the rear trans bracket, alternator and distributor!!! Now lets get to the pictures: Engine (notice the valve cover was done just like Josh's old one haha): http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/motor.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/valvecover.jpg Transmission/Starter: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/transmission.jpg Clutch/Flywheel: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/clutchandflywheel.jpg CRX SIR Linkage: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/linkage.jpg Ebay Header and Highflow Cat: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/header.jpg Edited October 9, 2009 by DaddyBuiltRacing
DaddyBuiltRacing
10/1/09: Today I scored another freebie!! Josh's dad had bought an Energy Suspension bushing kit for his CRX, and only needed the rear bushings. That left the entire front end bushing kit unused and just sitting around collecting dust. Knowing I am doing a CRX build he decided to donate to the project lol. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/bushings.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/Tacaras%20CRX/suspension.jpg Edited October 9, 2009 by DaddyBuiltRacing
