Even the mundane parts (oil filter, wiper blades, etc.) cost a premium. And they aren't exactly the most reliable cars outside of warranty either. That said, I'd kill to own an M1 with a replica Pro-Car body. (Though, that's really more Lambo than BMW). However, most are old and ragged out and they're all so fucking expensive to fix if you can even find a mechanic who knows what they're doing. This. I almost bought one in FL, but the maintenance scared me and they really are big, fat pigs around town. EXCELLENT high-speed (Alligator Alley from Naples to Miami) cruisers, but just not worth getting rid of my Corvette for. Oh...and I was looking at the V12 6-speed manual.
