KennyFKINPowerz
So what are the best products methods to use to completely degreas and clean an empty engine bay? I usually use Simple Green and a powerwasher. Im sure there is something that works a little better than Simple Green.

FourString
Sorry to thread hi-jack, but I did not see the need to make a new thread. Todd, I noticed that the engine bay in that tutorial was only slightly dirty. Would the same cleaning technique be effective in an engine bay like mine? http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e120/Sugarfuzz/SilvDirty.jpg There is some fairly heavy crud in there. I bought the truck recently like that and it has been bothering me. This thread was the perfect opportunity to ask. Thanks!

Kevin Doe
I've used dilluted simple green and a power washer before. Just be careful where you spray the power washer, and cover some key elements like the air filter, etc.
Bam
I used purple power in a spray bottle and shop rags on my rx7. I pulled the engine though so it made it a lot easier but I didn't even use the full bottle, maybe only half and I did the complete bay, kmember, and front suspension pieces, came out looking great. I ended up doing the same thing on my FD. Had to scrub a bit of stuff with a brush to get the heavier deposits. Came out awesome looking though. Well worht the time.
