TurboNova
Ok well as most know I put a budget sbc in the nova to cruise for the summer in order to build a bigblock over the winter. Well more and more searching I am liking the ls1 6 speed more and more. Anyone know of a pre made harness supplier or complete install kit less motor and trans supplier. I searched for aj on here but either there was no build thread or I could not find it. I dont want to do the harness and want it to look good and I know there was a place called BRC and they make a trans crossmember and motor mounts just dont know if that is a bolt in fit or if more mods are needed thanks dan

Guest Removed
you can always use the painless harness. most just rewire the factory harness to work how they want it. i'll more then likely be doing this swap in a older nova come this winter there is also a complete front subframe out there for this swap. very nice piece. not so nice price. but there are alot of options too. TurboNova
all fast responses...nice. Aj... you did the t56 swap. what all did you change. I take it a new driveshaft and pedal cluster...how much of a mess was the total job.
AJ
i did a custom triple master set up and bent my own tubing for a cross member. bolt in kit http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=ats&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=277462184&Count2=194602608
TurboNova
just trying to weigh the cost differences. I already wanted to build a bbc but the route I am looking at going would be around 6.5k. How tight is it to fit that t56
Limitedslip7
Forget the LS6, here is a real swap for a Nova: http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=727207
AJ
fit very well in my car. had about an inch between the heads and fire wall and the only mods needed to the floor was to relocate the hole for the shifter. had alot of room around the transmission to get your hands up in there if need be. ohsolow
I got a wiring harness from current performance. It took about 6 weeks to get but he built it to my specs. It was definately worth the wait if you have the time.
Dave1647545494
I'm having trouble finding a link to the build video but, if you can find it muscle car tv did a project called "old blue hair" and put a ls2 in an nova they usually list all the vendors they used to source stuff from

Browning
I may have found a copy. It doesn't have many seeders so I can't be sure as of yet. If it's the right episode I'll host it for you. It might take a while since my upload speed sucks. I'll edit this once it's downloaded and I know if it's it for sure.
Guest Removed
there was a few episodes with old blue hair in it. i thought they used a painless harness in that one.

TurboNova
thats great thanks... I am thinking about keeping my built th350 behind it though... I am not sure. but leaving the motor injected and just doing cam and intake and ported heads with supporting mods
