TTQ B4U
Father in law had an issue with his 2003 Mazda MPV with the 3.0l Ford in it. The engine would race at a very high idle when in park then stall when put in gear. They live in the country so had it towed to a local shop where they found it to be the Temp. Sensor which was telling the car it was -30 degrees outside thus the car was getting a lot of gas resulting in it flooding out. $120 later the issue was fixed and all the dash lights/codes were gone and it's been running fine. Does that sound right? I'm not saying it isn't, I just never heard of it nor would know that type of issue since I'm not a tech. Thoughts/insight from those in the know appreciated. Guest Removed
temp sensor is not but 20 or 30 bucks. plus tow, plus labor and diag fee's etc. yes when the temp sensor in a ford goes to shit, it will read max high or max low. and in doing so it thinks its -38 degree's in the motor and will dump fuel in it cause the air is less dense and what not. Thanks! So including tow and what not, it sounds like they diagnnosed and treated them fairly. That's cool. I was hoping you would take this Q. I appreciate it. I may be needing you for Brakes here in the near future. Will keep you posted.
