Hooking everything up tomorrow and putting the finishing touches on. I'm REALLY happy with how this turned out. I'm working on an older car as well and am getting close to primer/paint stages I can't say how much it will be for you. . it's gonna be different for everyone depending on body work and personal connection. I happened to use a guy who was close friends with a good friend of mine, so I got an excellent deal. With this economy though it's not too difficult to find a great deal. If you want I can even get you in touch with the guy who did the work you see above. I had a couple little problems with him, but I got more than I paid for. It started as a quote to do a little body work and then sand/primer/base/paint/clear ...but I quickly changed my mind to do the engine bay and have him freshen the motor up and paint and clear my rally wheels, so naturally that added to the cost. If you're looking for a solid color paint job with jams (primer/sealer/base/cleared), you're looking at about 1500-1800 depending on color, and if you're looking for engine bay and everything add another 500+ for that area. Decided to undercoat it and ordered a new front filler panel which came in today, as the previous one was cracked. So gotta get that painted/cleared and put on there. Other than that, finishing the wiring on motor today and getting it fired up and putting in the new shocks. Tomorrow is the planned day of completion now. Basically 100% this time. We just picked the car apart..so it took a lot longer than originally expected. Just tuning up carb which is leaking a bit (dirty) but other than that she sounds MEAN! Gonna get her back in the morning and detail her and then I'll be doing a photo shoot with the DSLR tomorrow at the fair grounds near some orange/yellow leaves. . should be the shit.
