SicShelby
GM is crying wolf about the Z/28. At some point... they have to assemble it and deliver the goods! I say do it!! However... seeing is believing. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=157686 http://www.motortrend.com/auto_news/112_0909_chevrolet_camaro_z28_is_go/index.html

Sully
The first article says: There's no reason to assume that the Z28 wouldn't be offered with both transmissions, and only a fool would dial back the power. The 2nd article says: The Z28 is likely to only be available with a six speed manual transmission, unless GM can piggyback some of the car's certification on work already done for the CTS-V to get the automatic into the range at low cost. If they only end up offering it in a auto, that will be the biggest fail of the year.

Apparently the press still has some specifics to iron out.

Crossle
Look at the Pontiac GXP only offered in a 6 speed, would not surprise me if they only offered a particular model of the Camaro in a manual. I think it looks pretty good, I think i like the hood better.

SicShelby
Did they offer the Camaro in an auto back in the day? I can understand the V6 being an automatic, but not the high performance version.

BrianZ06
There were many options you could order back in the day. The 400 turbo auto was very popular .I would'nt kick it out of my garage. I like the front end but the rear bumper does not look right to me. Brandon
I am hoping for the LSA engine combination, we already have a lot of r&d with that in the new CTSV, and they are wonderfully built, with great power potential. I like it, and from a pretty good source my hunch is its in the logistic phase of being built! Regards
