i found an ebay store today with a butt load of fbody and corvette stuff, several ls engines and t56 trannies. i think it is a salvage yard in pennsylvania.

That FParts in Bristol, PA is a good place to buy. On the east coast anyways, they snatch up every single wrecked fbody they can get their hands on. I bought my 6 speed kit from them for my conversion. A bearing went bad in the tranny and they rebuilt the whole damn thing. Of course I was stationed at McGuire/Fort Dix at the time and it was a stone's throw.
