Bam
Ok, so I've got a 12 year old car that has some rock chips, no biggie except they are starting to look rust color right there, and since there is no rust on the car i want to stop this right now. What should i do? Just apply touch up paint directly over it? Try and sand the rust off and then touch up paint? Buy something like a rust inhibitor to stop the rust then touch up paint? These are tiny spots, like maybe the size of a penpoint or two, so kinda hard to work with. thanks

Most light polishes are enough to get the surface stuff cleaned out of a chip like this. Still not easy to work with such a small area. Then wipe with alcohol and put touch up paint in chip. ...then wetsand blob and polish the whole area if you want to really do it correctly.
