I need a 2-ton unit set up for R-22. My house is on it's original heat pump (22 years). It's inefficient (doesn;t heat or cool well, even for a heat pump) and I think it's on its way out. With government rebates and stuff I'm tempted to take advantage of them by having a bunch of new stuff put in, but I just don't have the cash right now and don't like racking up credit card debt to "save money". My air handler appears to be in decent shape, I'd like to just get this old heat pump swapped out and I think I'll be in good shape for a while. Seems like there's a million places selling used appliances, etc. I even found a place that sells used cabinetry and such but no luck with HVAC.
