ghost face
Akai Hana, best sushi in town.
timmy43016
Akai Hana, best sushi in town. I would challenge that one. Japanese Oriental Restaurant (original name right?) on High st has one best sushi in cbus a couple times and they are cheaper than the rest... Worth the checkout at least. El Karacho1647545492
Well, I mentioned the words tapas and my wife got excited. So I went ahead and made the reservations for Barcelona. Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. well done. if you've never had one before, order a Dark 'n' Stormy. I promise its not some sort of interracial porn, its a great drink. Goslings Black Seal and ginger beer (like super-strong ginger ale). Barcelona is the only place I've found in Columbus that makes them. DKilbourne
Well, I mentioned the words tapas and my wife got excited. So I went ahead and made the reservations for Barcelona. Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. One of my favorite places in town. Can't beat the wine prices on Sunday either. They serve all bottles at retail prices, which are much less than menu prices. Too bad she doesn't like seafood. They have good seafood choices there. They also usually have a few good lamb choices as well. Tapas are good and I think 1/2 price on Monday's. All of the staff I have come in contact with there have been very good and knowledgeable about their menu as well. Hopefully you enjoy your evening. excell
Indeed, good choice with Barcelona. Best paella and sangria certainly in Columbus, and held a candle to what we had at the El Convento in San Juan, PR - not an easy feat! Edit: Snap, just saw no seafood - too bad! iwishiwascool
I agree M has lost it's luster just like the condos above it. I used to spend almost every New Years Eve there until the service and food quality got dead.

My GF spent a few weeks in Spain last summer working at a vet clinic there and always mentioned how she missed the paella, so I took her to Barcelona for her bday just for that very reason. So she gets it, takes a bite, says "oh man that's good, but definitely not as good as it was in Spain". Thanks hunny.

Strange girl, long story, but trust me, the only thing she liked better was the paella.
JuicedH22
Well, we made it to Barcelona. I had calamari for an appetizer, and the Paella Barcelona for my entree. My wife had the charcuterie for an appetizer and the Solomillo (beef tenderloin) for her entree. We both had the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake (basically a souffle) for dessert, and got a Barcelona Bar to go. I had a Dark and Stormy as we recommended and it was a good drink, the ginger gave it a unique taste. I also had a Rootbeer Barrel which was good (a little sweet for one of my normal drinks though). We both thought the food was excellent, especially the dessert. However, I am not sure if the food is the cause or not but I woke up sunday morning feeling horrible, my stomach was doing flipflops, and by noon it had turned into what felt like a mild case of montezuma's revenge. (the only reason I have any doubt it was dinner is because some friends of ours went and ate at a different restaurant and the guy also had the same sickness as me on sunday).
