My Kitchen Remodel Project

Recommended Posts

I have been working on remodeling my kitchen for a little over a year now. I don't work on it every day or every weekend, which is mainly why it's taken so long. I haven't been in a rush to get it done, and I'm still not done with it. I still have to put new outlets/switches in, new flooring, and new baseboard. I just wanted to share what has been keeping me from doing anything with my car. Anyway, on with the pics.

This is what it looked like when I started:

Removing the soffit:

Measurements being taken for new counter tops:

New counter tops installed by Granite Transformations:

I had a breakfast nook added on, but I'm missing a ton of pics from that:

I had to have someone come in and texture the bare drywall on the ceiling to match the existing. He did an awesome job:

I sanded the rough edges down for the knock-down look and painted:

And this is what it looks like as of now:

Great work, but can you retain the granite countertops if you decide to do all new cabinets?

Probably not. But I'm not going to be replacing them, so it doesn't matter to me. I understand what you're saying though.
