I had a good time walking around this show Saturday at the Cleveland IX Center. I got to visit with Casper and his beautiful wife who were staffing the Ohio Motorcyclist for Children display/bike raffle. I know a number of CR members/Ohio Rider members attended, but I think a number of folks who would have enjoyed the afternoon passed on the opportunity because ..... ??? they wanted to mow their lawns/sunbathe/detail their cars ??? Exactly what else was there to do Saturday that was more fun than this?

Anyways, enough preaching. Here's what ya missed. It was really busy at the show, so it was challenging to get clear shots of the bikes, let alone any artsy/fartsy camera angles, so they are just basic photos. I've tried to organize them in this order: general crowd shots, new models, vintage, customs, special bike built for wheelcheer riders, Confederate cycle.

I hope you enjoy :)

Lots of good stuff. But the wheelchair trike sucks. I don't know what they were thinking, but it just screams "Hey! Look! I'm in a wheelchair!" It's bulky, boxy and just plain ugly. The guy riding it looks like Capt. Pike or Davross in that thing. OCC has proven you can make a trike for someone without the use of their legs and still have it look cool. So I don't know what possessed that company to show that thing off.

OCC's Paraplegic trike:

Look at the practicality of it though. If you were in a wheelchair you could take this thing to the store or work, dismount and still have your chair to go out and about with. With the OCC's trike, you're without mobility outside the bike. Sometimes form and function do win out over style.

I don't think it'd be too difficult to put a wheelchair rack on the OCC Trike. Also, the design above could have been made to look better too. It practically advertises that the rider is handicapped.
