Another vote for the Scala G9x. I've used Sena, decent stuff but I'm a Cardo fan boy for sure.

I've often times thought about their Ford "plug and play" system for the 5.0 Mustangs and what it would take to modify it to work on my 92 F350 460. Hardest part would be using their trans controller. -
For sure a MAC. I had the same one on an old Kaw.

Optima batteries have found their way into a few of my cars, all of them red tops. -02 Jeep Wrangler 4L -98 Mustang GT -06 Mustang GT -09 Forester 2.5L Only two batteries I would put in would be Optima (first choice) or Interstate. I had Interstate batteries in the Jeep and my Super duty. Jeep one sucked after about a year and the Super Duty's made it through the two or so years I had it.

Do yourself a favor and do not do the pod filters. They make proper jetting a nightmare. If you are dead set on it, order a Dynojet jet kit (it includes stage 1 & 3) it will make things a lot easier. They usually has decent instructions. They run about $125 http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/4103.pdf -
I honest to god know a guy that put 100,000 miles on a VTR 1000 super hawk, with no motor work out side of a water pump, two valve adjustments and one clutch kit. Just depends on how you take care of a bike. His was VERY clean and ran great when sold, wouldn't have thought twice about buying it. Keep in mind he was the only owner and had all service records.

Amsoil has a Zinc enriched oil now. It's called ZROD, hear it's good stuff for the older style motors. http://www.amsoil.com/a/synthetic-motor-oil-engine-oil
