JZig06
I just registered to take the basic rider course through the DMV this summer. My question is this the course that you take that you get your license at the end of it. Or do you have to go on the basic rider 2. I was also wondering if this counts as a safety course for a discount on insurance?
cptn janks
yes, you can get your license once you pass the class. and yes it qualifies as a safety course. basic rider 2 is similar to the regular basic rider, but its only a one day course made for people who have already ridden for a year or more. Radio Flyer1647545514
BRC allows you to get an insurance drop, mine is 10% from what my insurance agent told me. You can also get your endorsement through the class. You just have to go and show them you passed at the DMV and you're good to go.
twistedfocus1647545489
Check with your insurance company, as apparently not all of them give a discount for the course. American Family did not for me, though they are charging me a really low rate anyway.

dover
BRC is pretty fun, I did mine at West Broad last year. You get your endorsement on completion of the course (which is doing the test). Course came in real handy with the insurance company. Yes Part b. I think so. There was a guy that walked into my class that was already signed up for a later date. I didn't see him pay anyone. SpaceGhost
Most likely that course had a part in me still being here.
