ross
Who has used them? Which brand did you go with? Easy to apply? I work at osu in the warehouse and we are thinking about using a garage floor coating where the forklifts are parked at night. The concrete has some stains from oil/grease and battery acid. Just wanting to know how well some of the floor coatings hold up to chemicals, and if they are as great as the companies make them out to be. Thanks

kirks5oh
i'll update this thread in about two months. we're buying a house with a large detached garage, and i'm having the floor professionally painted with epoxy. apparently, the proper way to do it is to shot-blast the floor first so that the epoxy adheres properly. this company that's doing it has a 10 year warranty on their work. it's not cheap either. my father in law used material from this site, and has been happy http://www.superfloorcoat.com/?gclid=CKigsYLK-J8CFRDyDAod7RnOVg
wnaplay1647545503
Call any sherwin williams and ask them to send over a rep. There are alot of factors to consider when doing a large area surface area. Its not necessarily like doing a garage floor.

Darkside
I used the Sherwin Williams kit on my garage and it began to peal after a month or so. It has pealed under where all the tires sit.

nocab72
I had my VA garage floor done by Premier Garage. I would highly recommend them, lifetime warranty not to chip, crack, stain, etc. Was about $5/sqft. http://www.premiergarage.com/ Some before/after pics of the floor in this album: http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i167/nocab72/Garage/

DaddyBuiltRacing
most times when epoxy fails its because either 1. The person applying it didn't prep the area, and just slapped it on over top of current floor. or 2. The person applying it didn't mix part a and part b correctly. Like most things it usually comes down to user error. I laid epoxy floors down 3 years ago at the springfield ang in their weapons bay and in a jet hanger and it still looks like it did when first put down. If it can hold up to a big ass jet and millitary vehichles wear and tear then I am sure it will work for cars and buses
