Team USA is top seed and gets a few days off before playing again, i THINK Canada has some sort of play in round against Germany (who'm they'll beat) on tue, winner of that game goes on to play Russia on wed. We will play either Swiss, Belarus, Slovakia or Norway on Wed. Anyone else notice that Nash was actually hitting people tonight? I wasn't too sure we'd beat them (and we probably won't if we face them again. Canada had almost twice as many shots on goal. GO FUCKIN MILLER!) Howev3er, I've been saying since the beginning that the US has a chance at gold. Everyone assumes they don't becuz they're so young, etc. They're suprising the shit out of people, now. We already beat them 3-1 in the first game. Then we'll have to take on Finland for the quarter finals (unless the Czech's have a huge upset) which will be a very difficult game, even if we lose that we are playing for bronze against IMO either Russia or Sweden. Canada won't even make it to a medal this year. remember how much trouble Canada had with the Swiss? they had to go to OT shootout to decide the winner. Dont sleep on Swiss, they hit hard and often and provoke you to make a mistake (which worked on Canada but we ignored them for the most part when we won). With that said I think we'll beat them again. The Czech/Finland game should be really good, i have no idea who would win that. Czech's have alot of scoring firepower but alot of this tourny is won off of Defense and the Fin's have that AND their a deep team. There's a slight chance we meet Canada in the Gold medal game but honestly they have to go through a fucking gauntlet of the world's best in Russia and Sweden.
