How the heck did the belt jump a tooth? Glad it was a easy fix.

it was rather oily... but it also had a odd groove worn in it :confused:. but once we got the lower cover off, we found someone dropped a bolt down the timing cover. and it wasnt a bolt off the car either. its was a 3/8 , 3/4" bolt..:confused: but it had been there for a bit, i figure it was from the owner before hand. much better then finding a mouse jammed in it.. that makes a mess :o

A random bolt. I lost a wrench on my bleeder valve for 5 months once, till I crawled back under the truck and took it off. :D

 

Need to take a picture next time you find a mouse in there.
