How it works from what I understood over the phone your round trip ticket needs bought at time of departure from Sandusky or Port Clinton. When they sell out of later times they keep bumping the schedule later in the night. They said they usually make it all the way till 3am for Sandusky. The ports of departure are up to you! Lodging info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your best bet for lodging is to leave from the Sandusky Harbor Jet Express. Why? It is Xmas in July weekend on the Island and that means lots of tourists. The tourists outnumber the hotels on the island or near Port Clinton Jet Express. Google this " jet express in Sandusky Ohio hotel motel lodging" This will bring up all hotels and motels near downtown Sandusky with a map, This is your best bet to getting a room for the rally most local hotels are booked. Confirm your room the day of the rally and pay for it in advance so you are for sure you have a room waiting for you at the end of the night. I checked brother the island is pretty much booked out, everywhere. There is catawba island that has openings. Plus, the Mon Ami winery has good food and lots to drink.
