Aaron
He is most likely talking about the standard E36 Convertible which can be had for 6k.

Aaron
but in the same condition as the car in the pic? Yes. That car is obviously cared for and was washed and waxed recently. A good detail to SOME of these cars would yield the same quality minus the mods. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p&car_id=282506614&dealer_id=65450385&car_year=1997&rdm=1279938923646&lastStartYear=1981&model=3_SERIESCLASS_SERIES&num_records=25&systime=&make2=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=1981&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=1&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=0&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&sownerid=65284835&showZipError=y&make=BMW&keywords_display=&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&body_style=CONVERT&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=2&sort_type=priceDESC&address=43017&advanced=&end_year=2011&doors=&transmission=&max_price=7000&cardist=802&standard=false

TURBOED
Wow, I <3 this thread. I've never seen a non roadrace/autox forum actually give respect to the almighty miata. If you need a back seat... is it weird that I have always liked the Cadillac Allante?
nurkvinny
The car's history speaks for itself. I agree. Aside from a 3' rainbow sticker across a rear bumper, it has definitely been the most sure-fire way to pick out gay men on the road (which I do on a daily basis, being a homosexual male myself). Ha, Urban Dictionary agrees: "A "cute" tiny convertible geared towards women, homosexual men and silverdomes trying to relive the youth they once had in their Triumph or MG." Seriously though, if it's fun to drive, and folks don't mind driving a go-kart down the interstate, more power to them. Now, maybe a 5.0 Miata would be slightly less gay.?
