MackDaddy43
Has anyone here ever built or heard of someone building a turbo pitbike or dirt bike? I was joking around about it today in class, and thought it might be a fun little bullshit project. I understand it wouldn't make really any boost, but I have a spare k03 thats got a blown oil seal; I dont think i'd even bother rebuilding it. It just seemed like a fun way to get some kind of fab experience. What would i need? Would a 125cc pitbike work? Or would i need to get a larger cc dirtbike? I wouldn't want this to become a money pit, so I'm going to say my budget is around 1k. Opinions? Flames?
wnaplay1647545503
They have been put on lawnmowers so I assume someone has put one one small motors like that. Search turbo pitbike on youtube.
MackDaddy43
I have and have come up with some crazy rigs haha, one being a turbo 125cc with nos lol. I was just interested in what might be required to make this work. How would I get oil to flow through through the turbo, or would i even need it? MackDaddy43
ive seen one on a yz250 before. think it made like 65hp That would be sweet! I was looking at 125cc's which make like 7-8hp. So I figured 10-12 was a reasonable goal haha. But its not like I'd get it dynod. Anyone know of a bike for sale? I searched all over craigs but couldn't find any in my price range.

,,,,,,comma,,,,,,
I am not that smart about turbos, but to me thats seems like it wouldn't be smooth enough power. A dirtbike needs the same pull everywhere.

A dirtbike needs the same pull everywhere. I doubt it would be. It would probably idle really crappy, and the low rpm's would probably be rough. But it might have a fun top end. Like I said. Its just gonna be something to do. I'll post pix as soon as some sort of progress is made, such as finding a bike.
