John Bruh
Ok so went to micro center and spec'd out a build. With windows I was $450otd! Phenom II amd 3.2ghz processor 6mb cache Ga-ma74gm-s2 motherboard 1tb 7,200 hard drive 2gb ddr2 memory GeForce GT220 video card Case with power supply 22x dvd burner Internal memory card reader
Patterson
First, get more memory. Windows 7 likes to have atleast 3. More the better in this case. Also, i would recommend getting a mobo for ddr3 memory rather than older memory style ddr2. Lastly, i would recommend an Intel over a AMD proc. Even the i3 proc is more efficient and faster than a similar amd procs. Check out tomshardware.com as stated earlier.
John Bruh
I understand about the ddr3, but why does everyone hate and? I'm getting a faster processor that an i3 for less money. The guys at micro center said the and stuff isn't bad

The guys at micro center said the and stuff isn't bad i run 4 gigs of ddr2 on vista 7 with a amd quad core 2.5ghz on a gigabyte board and it runs everything fine (everything as in games, starcraft 2 etc, counter strike) . also got a 512mb graphics card and a 800wat power supply. Patterson
Faster isnt always better. The i3 is more efficient. If you dont opt for the i3, get a mobo for ddr3 memory. And get at least 4gb.
