wnaplay1647545503
I will be in the market for a v6 mustang 2000ish and was wondering if its possible to make it sound "throatty" like a v8 can? If it can, whats the best method? I really like the deep sound I have heard on some of the cars I've seen. It will be a stock vehicle and I know it wont be nearly as deep but can it be made to sound better than it came?
Not Brian
Are you serious?
SRTurbo04
No.... they will sound raspy. I've never heard a good sounding v6 mustang. My 07 has a throaty sound at about 2500rpm but then goes away. The older motors just sound like shit no matter how u f with it
nurkvinny
Can you make it sound better than stock? Sure. Fool a car guy into thinking it's a V8? Doubtful.

jeffro
save your money. a friend of mine has dual exhausts on his V6, (there are also a number of members here, kstang and sonicstang come to mind) and they sound like poop. said person might be able to get ugly chix with it, but thats it. wnaplay1647545503
The car is for a teenager. Oh well, just thought I would ask.
Bam
Why not just buy a GT? the 99-04's are dirt cheap nowadays...I bought my 00 for $4200 18 months ago.
2 Sweet
I disagree, I actually think V6 Mustangs sound ok with a decent exhaust. I mean compared to a V8 obviously not, but I've heard a lot worse. I know a guy who had true duals on his '96 and it sounded good for what it was. It surely sounded better than any V6 f-body I've heard.

wnaplay1647545503
Not trying to fool anyone. I want to get the v8 but my wifes commonsense wins out. I know it makes sense but I need to up the anty as much as possible.
Patterson
Something from these guys may be your best bet. Kinda makes me want to build one. It won't sound like a V8, but it'll be better than stock. http://supercoupeperformance.com/ http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/
