Flyin Miata
Can anyone give me an update of what's going to be happening in northeast Ohio tonight and tomorrow? Where are you heading too? I'm in Mentor and if you go by the basic reports online, we should get freezing rain this evening followed by what the Weather channel feels will be a blizzard from midnight through early morning. So put simply, it's going to be a fucking mess.

SpaceGhost
Well looks like we are not going to get rain, it should be be all freezing rain and sleet. Temps are starting to fall again, thought the warm air might push this way but the cold is pretty strong. We should have more ice throughout the night and temps falling tomorrow to 8 degrees. So at some point the backside should get us some snow, on top of all the ice. Be careful, I had to take my daughter to the doctor, she is pretty sick. The parking lots and side streets are a disaster waiting to happen.

SpaceGhost
I think the ice will be much thicker than last night, so it will build right on top of the old ice. Doesn't look good to me. Much more moisture falling from this low (winds are picking up too): If you look that dark pink is almost here, that is the scary stuff, I wish it would push farther north now, no chance of good snow, I would rather it rain and stay liquid and not freeze. http://images.intellicast.com/WxImages/RadarLoop/usa_None_anim.gif http://images.intellicast.com/WxImages/RadarLoop/day_None_anim.gif

Berto
We're getting it pretty bad over here. About 1/2" of ice on everything and the worse is yet to come tonight. Its real slick too. Last night I pulled the old lady's car up into the driveway and it started sliding back with the brakes on. who knows how much we'll get tonight! SpaceGhost
No I don't. It will just freeze in the ice. get up early and run the car and let it get hot then scrape it. That is if you can get into it.
