BradyPPC
Went to the track day on saturday. Got a few good runs in before the driveshaft failed. This is why you run a one piece drive shaft if you plan to drag race a car!! http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/Ford/Mustang/2011%20Mustang/Brady%202011%20GT/DSC00381.jpg http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/Ford/Mustang/2011%20Mustang/Brady%202011%20GT/DSC00379.jpg http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/Ford/Mustang/2011%20Mustang/Brady%202011%20GT/DSC00385.jpg http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/Ford/Mustang/2011%20Mustang/Brady%202011%20GT/DSC00384.jpg http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/Ford/Mustang/2011%20Mustang/Brady%202011%20GT/DSC00388.jpg

BradyPPC
The thing they say about goin fast is "If you dont break it your not tryin"! Exactly! At this point, we are just working our way down the line of weakest links.

SpaceGhost
Was a pretty quiet break standing 20 ft from the car.
BradyPPC
I would never try to turn something like that in under warranty. I understand the risks involved and if I break something that is my fault, I take care of it. I don't want to pass the cost of my abuse onto the next guy trying to buy a mustang. People complain enough about what they cost now. Besides, if it broke, it nees a stronger better piece. The fix is to go with a 1 piece aluminum drivreshaft and a safety loop. I believe retail is around 799 or so.
93_ChargedCobra_342
Brady not as impressive as I originally thought...I though you exploded the the carrier bearings hell you just pulled it apart when it twisted up. Come on man do it right next time lol
Cordell
Wow, the clean peices with the factory labels on them made me laugh. Didn't think it twisted too, but I'll be curious to see what the next weakest link is.

CRAWDAD
The fix is to go with a 1 piece aluminum drivreshaft and a safety loop. I believe retail is around 799 or so. Mine was $750 I'll be curious to see what the next weakest link is. AXLES, been there done that!
JaSSon
I'd warrantee it. It's a weak link in the car. Ford is likely collecting data on failures of the car, and this is a change that needs to be made in the 2012 5.0.
DKilbourne
Oops. Looks like this would be one of the first mods for me if I ever get one. There are rumors out there that the one piece shafts make a little bit more rwhp. Are you planning on hitting the dyno to confirm or deny this? I'm curious if these claims are valid. CRAWDAD
The stock DS weighs about 43lbs. A 1 piece alum is about 18-20lbs
