It's one of two watches I own. People see the watch, assume it's something expensive and comment on it, and I always respond, "It's nothing fancy .... just a Seiko, but I like it." I had no idea it was rare, and it's really taken a lot of abuse over the decades. I guess I can't complain. Buy quality, buy once..... Buy quality, buy once..... From the information that I have been able to find, this model was only in production for part of 1991. Measuring 44mm, it was a large watch by 1991 standards and even at a modest price of $125ish new, it didn't sell all that well. A majority of them were sold outside the US.
