TurboNova
Got the car back home last night, Here are some pics of the current state. I plan on doing some finish work to the firewall and replace the master cylinder here this week. I am waiting on my PTC converter and then the engine/trans goes in. Car got New full length floor pans, 10pt Cage, Window Net, Through the floor frame connects, aluminum package tray, parachute, fuel cell mount, finished some welding on firewall, build rear end with big ford housing ends, moser spool, 33 spline axles, 3.23 gear, moser girdle and install all the calvert stuff out back. Martin Motorsports did an amazing job. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7486.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7496.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7490.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7508.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7482.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7483.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7484.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7477.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7480.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7481.jpg Edited February 23, 2011 by TurboNova

TurboNova
Some changes to the build. I bought a set of stainless lsx turbo headers and ditched the factory manifold approach. and also had a custom grind turbo cam spec'd and got some new valve springs. Seems like I have seen a couple of these engines with e85 make around 700whp. So that is now my goal. I figure with this setup I will either put rods and pistons in this block next winter or do a 6.0 with rods and pistons along with the same components matched to a pte-88 and go 8's here are the headers I just picked up http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/LSXT.jpg

TurboNova
Those headers are from stainless works, they are worth every penny
TurboNova
Progress has been a little on the slow side due to some parts issues. I am only waiting on some pushrods at this point to get the motor all the way ready to go in. So I have been doing some finish work on the firewall and then got the interior back together here are the latest and greatest photos. My goal is to have the engine in the car in 2 weeks and then get the car back out to the fab shop to have my hotside crossover and coldside made up. Got cage painted, new carpet installed, new cover on rear seat, bolted seats in and installed harnesses http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7513.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7509.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7515.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7517.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7518.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7520.jpg

BDHG940
Do you have Martin motorsports contact number, I need to get my car caged as soon as its rolling again. Did you bring them a pre-fabbed kit or did they fabricate the whole setup for you?
TurboNova
Do you have Martin motorsports contact number, I need to get my car caged as soon as its rolling again. Did you bring them a pre-fabbed kit or did they fabricate the whole setup for you? The phone number for Pat Martin is 614-519-9935. He can do chrome moly or mild steel, I would imagine he could weld up a prefab kit but he bends all his stuff in house for a super tight fit, and I am sure it would be cheaper in the long run getting something custom fit for your car. Hes got great pricing and great customer service, I could not of asked for a better all around finished product from him. He races as a profession so he travels alot when the season starts and his shop is always busy so you may want to call asap. Also Will (614streets) is a good reference for pats work as well, hes the one who sent me to him.
TurboNova
who makes the window net its huge. It is a TAK window net. Pat uses this window net exclusively due to the fact the the bottom is angled and works great for the mounting.

TurboNova
Well had a couple road blocks, the more I read about my oil pan choice I thought it was not best for my ground clearance and mount choices so I ordered a sheet metal pan from autokraft, its pretty nice with those trap door baffles. I finished getting the motor all bolted together and ready to set into the car. I am still on the fence clearance wise with my headers. I love the flow and looks but may have to get some stock valve covers, the tubes are very close to the valve covers. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7624.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7623.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7622.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7621.jpg
